Remember that there is a real person on the other side of every conversation. Unwanted sexual conversations, requests for money, and attempts to move users to external contact channels are not permitted.
1. Prohibited Conduct
- Sexual remarks, sexual harassment, or unwanted sexual requests
- Harassment, insults, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory content
- Requests for money, investment or transfer solicitations, scams, or phishing
- Spam, repeated advertising, or attempts to direct users to external contact information, account IDs, or links
- Privacy violations, impersonation, unauthorized disclosure of personal information, or attempts to evade enforcement
- Creating or using an account while under the age of 18, misrepresenting your age or date of birth, or attempting to bypass Letterfly's age restrictions
- Child sexual exploitation or abuse, sexual approaches toward minors, grooming, or requests for sexual conversations, images, videos, or in-person meetings involving minors
- Any other illegal activity or conduct that threatens the safety of users or others
2. Reporting and Blocking
You can report or block another user through the conversation menu. When a user is blocked, communication between both users is immediately disabled and the conversation is removed from the conversation list. When a report is submitted, conversation evidence necessary for review may be preserved separately.
3. Shadow Restrictions
Confirmed violations may result in progressively longer restrictions depending on the number and severity of violations, including 1 hour, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 30 days, or permanent shadow restriction. While under a shadow restriction, users may be shown a dedicated restricted-access experience and may only be newly connected with other users in the same status. Existing conversations may remain available unless separate safety measures are required.
4. Automated Decisions and Human Review
Automated systems or artificial intelligence may be used to assist with the review of reports. Ambiguous or uncertain cases may be referred for human review. We provide an appeal process for enforcement decisions that materially affect access to an account or the service.
5. False Reports
Repeated or malicious false reports submitted for the purpose of harassing another user or attempting to trigger enforcement action may result in separate restrictions. A report is not considered false merely because it is dismissed or does not result in enforcement.
6. Immediate Danger
If you become aware of actual violence, self-harm, child sexual exploitation, or an immediate risk of physical harm, contact local law enforcement, emergency services, or another appropriate authority immediately in addition to using Letterfly's in-app reporting tools.
